ART IS KEY IS A WEEK OF DANCE, THEATRE AND MUSIC FOR YOUNG PEOPLE IN THE UK LIVING WITH HIV. IT IS A PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN TURTLE KEY ARTS AND CHIVA (CHILDREN'S HIV ASSOCIATION) .

The group work with professional artists - dance choreographers, theatre directors, musicians/recording artists, film makers - to create their own original work. There is a sharing of all the work created at the end of the week for an invited audience. Art is Key articulates the young peoples’ messages and is an opportunity, through performance art, to communicate what it’s like to be living with HIV in the UK today. The project is free to all participants.

In 2018 a film LIFE GROWING UP was created from conversations, real stories and thoughts from the young people during the Art is Key week.
