Thunder Road is a bold, original dark comedy which tells the story of two first aiders; Maureen (car loving loner with a past full of secrets) and Sylvie (unfulfilled dreamer escaping her unhappy home life through the TV), who embark on a training trip around UK village halls, delivering life-saving skills and survival tips.

But when things take an unexpected turn in a Travelodge, they are forced to go on the run, finding themselves on a Thelma and Louise style road trip to a soundtrack of Springsteen, in which the ludicrous terminology of first aid becomes a metaphor for their own survival.
