KILL THE CAT ARE AN AWARD-WINNING INTERACTIVE THEATRE COMPANY SET UP BY THEATRE MAKERS DYLAN FRANKLAND AND MADELEINE ALLARDICE. THEIR WORK EXPLORES DIFFICULT SOCIAL ISSUES IN FUN AND INVENTIVE WAYS, PUTTING THE AUDIENCE AT THE HEART OF THE ACTION.
Kill The Cat's newest show TALK is an unique interactive theatre piece where audience members are paired with a stranger and get to know over the course of six installations. Strangers are asked to make cups of tea for their partners, paint each other & share memories in a den. In a time where the UK has been forced to appoint a Minister for Loneliness & our country is divided by Brexit, the simple nature of talking to each other becomes a radical act.
They continue to digitally tour their show The House Never Wins, an interactive game theatre piece exploring the climate crisis, self isolation and gambling with the planet’s future.
Their first show A Pint Sized Conversation premiered in 2017 and toured the country to pubs, cafes, hospitals, universities and even an abandoned boat warehouse. A piece about mental health and offering support, about not getting it right all of the time, but trying.
